Watch Around Water
We are a Watch Around Water accredited facility, which means there are a number of supervision requirements for parents and guardians. For more information about Watch Around Water, visit the Life Saving Victoria website or read these Frequently Asked Questions for customers.
Children under 10 years old:
- must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible parent / guardian
- must be constantly and actively supervised
The parent / guardian must be positioned to have a clear view of the child with no physical or structural barriers between them and the child / children.
Children under 5 years old:
- must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible parent / guardian
- must be constantly and actively supervised during recreational play within arms reach
Children over 10 years old:
- For children 10 years and older, parents must use their knowledge of the child’s swimming ability and general development to determine the level of accompaniment required.
25m Indoor Pool
The 25m 8 lane lap pool is heated year round to 28 degrees.
There is a ramp entry to one side, and an aquatic wheelchair/hoist are available for carers to assist their clients to enter the pool.
There is always at least one public lane available for lap swimming, however some times will be busier than others with Swimming Lessons, School Swimming and Swim Club all regular users of this pool. Please contact reception for accurate lane availability.
Leisure/Program Pool
The leisure pool is heated comfortably at 33 degrees year round.
This pool is perfect for kids and those doing light exercise/rehabilitation. The beach entry make it easy for even the littlest of people to enter, with water features switched on during some periods.
The program area is also used for Aqua exercise classes and swimming lessons.
